Ultimately, DotCom
Director is looking to accelerate potential category killers that
have completed at least some product development, and require further
web development. We prefer startups that are more than just an idea,
with at least some development of the product or service. This product
or service should be a breakthrough solution or answer to a significant
problem or fundamental need in the marketplace. The startup should
be a potential category killer focused in a niche with superior
market opportunity.
As a venture capital accelerator, our admission
criteria includes some of the following:

- partial development of product/service
- breakthrough solution to significant problem
- focused niche with superior market opportunity
- potential category killer
DotCom Director's potential clients are usually funded or near-funded
startups in the streaming media, ASP, B2B, database, or software
market segments. Even before approaching DotCom Director, all of
our clients thus far obtained validation of their idea by having
already raised roughly $100-$500K of early stage financing on their
own. For under-funded entrepreneurs who are much earlier in the
process, DotCom Director can provide the such business development
services as mentoring by experienced entrepreneurs, access to unique
strategic relationships, strategic development, e-Business consulting,
and introductions to seed capital sources.
